Short answer: The most expensive Brightness of Hope cards are the three Super Alt Art Secret Rares: Son Goku, Bardock and Shallet. TCGplayer sellers are asking $1,000 to $2,250 for them, but none had sold there as of October 24. Of the cards that have sold, the Son Goku Leader Alt Art (FB11-001) leads at about $198, then the Son Goku Secret Rare Alt Art (FB11-121) at about $175 and the Goku Black Leader Alt Art at about $149. A booster box costs about $175, so if you want one card, buy the single.

How much are the Brightness of Hope Super Alt Art cards worth?

Each of the set’s three Secret Rares comes in three versions: the regular card, an Alt Art and a much rarer Super Alt Art. The three Super Alt Arts, shown at the top of this page, are the set’s real chase cards:

Super Alt ArtCheapest TCGplayer listing (Oct 24)Japanese shop buy price (Sept 25)
Son Goku (FB11-121)$2,250¥105,000
Bardock (FB11-123)$1,250¥40,000
Shallet (FB11-122)about $1,000¥30,000

Those are asking prices, not sales. No English copy had sold on TCGplayer by October 24, so the real price could land well below them. For a sense of where they might settle, the Cell Super Alt Art from the last set, Cross Force, has sold for about $1,000 on TCGplayer, most recently on September 24.

The Japanese column is what Japanese card shops were paying for each card 14 days after the set’s September 12 Japanese release. Shops resell for more than they pay, so treat it as a floor, not a price.

Will Brightness of Hope prices drop?

Probably. Japan got the set a month early, and the top cards fell fast there. Japanese shops paid ¥190,000 for the Son Goku Super Alt Art on release day and ¥102,500 the next day. By day 14 it had held at about ¥105,000. Bardock fell from ¥72,500 to ¥40,000, and Shallet from ¥70,000 to ¥30,000.

English prices are only a week old, so expect the same pattern: a big drop in the first weeks, then a slower settle. If you’re buying a single for your collection, there’s little reason to rush.

What are the Brightness of Hope pull rates?

Bandai doesn’t publish pull rates for Fusion World. What we know about the product:

  • 12 cards per pack, 24 packs per booster box, 12 boxes per case.
  • 123 cards: 5 Leaders, 40 commons, 35 uncommons, 25 rares, 15 Super Rares and 3 Secret Rares.
  • Alt Arts: every Leader and Super Rare has an Alt Art version, and each Secret Rare has both an Alt Art and a Super Alt Art.

The last set, Cross Force, had the same layout. Community estimates for it (TCGtalk, from about 120 packs) put each box at 2 to 3 hits, including 1 to 2 Super Rare Alt Arts, and about one Secret Rare every one or two boxes. Super Alt Arts were estimated at about one per case, and none turned up in that sample.

If Brightness of Hope works the same way, a specific Super Alt Art like Son Goku would take about three cases to pull on average. That’s roughly $6,500 of sealed product.

Is a Brightness of Hope booster box worth it?

Not for value. A booster box sells for about $175 on TCGplayer, well above the $119.76 you’d pay for 24 packs at Bandai’s $4.99 price. Single packs sell for about $8.50.

Most of your hits will be Super Rare Alt Arts, which have market prices from about $15 to $75, and most are $20 to $45. A box with two of those and nothing bigger opens for well under what you paid. You need a Leader Alt Art ($71 to $198) or a Secret Rare Alt Art to come out ahead.

  • Want one card? Buy the single. Even the $198 Son Goku Leader Alt Art costs about the same as one box, and a box doesn’t come close to guaranteeing it.
  • Want to open packs and play? A box gets you 288 cards and a shot at every hit. Just don’t expect it to pay for itself.
  • New to Fusion World? Two new starter decks, The Saiyan Raised on Earth (FS13) and The Prince of Saiyan (FS14), come out January 22, 2027 at $15.99 each.

What’s in Brightness of Hope?

Brightness of Hope (FB11) came out in English on October 16, 2026, after a September 12 release in Japan. It has five new Leaders: Son Goku, Goku Black, Bardock, Shallot/Giblet, and Trunks: Future with Son Gohan: Future.

It’s also a crossover with the mobile game Dragon Ball Legends. Each color has a special collaboration card, and the Legends logo appears on cards like the Bulma Alt Art (about $140) and the Shallet Super Alt Art. Shallot and Giblet are original Dragon Ball Legends characters, and their Leader card awakens into Shallet, a fusion of the two.

The next set, Reach the God (FB12), comes out December 18, 2026. We’ll cover it before release.

What to skip

  • Buying boxes to chase a Super Alt Art. At about one per case, spread across three cards, you’d spend thousands for a card you can buy outright.
  • Paying first-week asking prices. The same cards lost close to half their value in their first two weeks in Japan.
  • Confusing the three versions. Son Goku FB11-121 sells for about $31 as a regular Secret Rare, about $175 as an Alt Art and four figures as a Super Alt Art. Check the version before you buy or sell.
  • Leaving a big pull loose. Sleeve and toploader it right away. Here’s how to protect trading cards.
