What changed since our Season 8 version: Peni, Storm, Magik and Ultron stay in S tier, Mantis jumps all the way from C, and Gorr debuts there. Daredevil slips to A and Devil Dinosaur to B. Gambit, Venom, Magneto and Cloak & Dagger fall to C, and Emma Frost and Luna Snow drop to D. Human Torch and Psylocke make the biggest jumps, from the bottom of our old list to A tier.
How we ranked the heroes
Every hero is ranked by competitive win rate across all ranks in Season 10, from CounterWatch’s data on September 29. The cutoffs are fixed: S is 55% or higher, A is 53–55%, B is 51–53%, C is 49–51%, and D is under 49%. Deadpool is listed once for each of his three roles.
One thing a win rate hides: the most-picked heroes always drift toward 50%. Cloak & Dagger shows up in about half of all ranked games, Magneto in 38%, Jubilee in 34% and The Hood in 33%. A C-tier hero with that kind of pick rate is still a meta staple, it just isn’t winning more than anyone else.
S tier: the best heroes in Season 10
Magik (57.4%): the only Season 10 change was a nerf to her team-up with The Hood, so her own kit is untouched. She’s also the second-best hero at Celestial and above, at 54.2%.
Peni Parker (57.4%): the best Vanguard in the game got buffed. Her Cyber-Web Cluster fires faster (0.3s to 0.25s) and no longer slows her down while she shoots.
Storm (57.0%): no changes this season, and she shows up in only 3% of ranked games. That makes her the most underused S-tier hero on the list.
Mantis (56.7%): nerfed, with Life Orbs now taking 4 seconds to charge instead of 3, and she still wins. She’s tied with Ultron for the best Strategist across all ranks, and she’s the best hero overall at Celestial and above (56.6%).
Ultron (56.7%): Imperative: Firewall now gives less Bonus Health (65 down to 40 for himself), but it adds a 20-per-second self-heal for 3 seconds after he casts it.
Is Gorr good in Marvel Rivals?

Yes. Gorr the God Butcher is winning 55.6% of ranked games, which puts the season’s only new hero straight into S tier. He’s a melee Duelist with 350 health, built around Black Berserkers, symbiote thralls he spawns and then uses as teleport points.
- Black Berserker (E) and Necro-Power (right click) spawn Berserkers or teleport them onto an enemy you hit.
- Shadow Harvest (F) warps Gorr to a Berserker and sacrifices it for Bonus Health and an explosion.
- Twilight of the Gods (ultimate) turns his sword into the Annihilablade and spawns a Berserker next to every enemy in range.
The catch: at Celestial and above he drops to 50.2%, so most of his S-tier win rate comes from lower ranks.
A tier: strong picks
- Black Cat (54.4%): Phantom Pursuit lost its invincibility and now gives 50% damage reduction and Unstoppable instead. She’s still winning.
- Daredevil (54.4%): no changes, and still one of the best dive Duelists, including at Celestial+ (52.4%).
- Hulk (53.8%): the best Vanguard after Peni by win rate, with only a 5% pick rate.
- Rocket Raccoon (53.7%): in 20% of games, and the safest high-win-rate Strategist after Mantis and Ultron.
- Black Panther (53.5%), Iron Man (53.4%) and Human Torch (53.2%): none of them got direct balance changes this season, and all three are winning.
- Psylocke (53.0%): buffed. Her Wing Shurikens fly faster (120 to 150 m/s) and hit harder (9 to 10 each).
B tier: solid, with a catch
- Scarlet Witch (51.1%): fully reworked. Her new Scarlet Hex marks enemies, damage on marked enemies gives her Bonus Health, and Chaos Control now hits everyone marked in a cone. A follow-up patch on September 17 cut how often her ultimate makes her immune during the wind-up.
- The Hood (52.2%): nerfed hard (600 to 550 health, weaker projectile damage reduction) and still in a third of ranked games.
- Loki (51.3%): buffed healing, and much better at high ranks, where he’s third overall at 52.7%.
- Iron Fist, Angela, Mister Fantastic, Thor, Blade, Hela, Spider-Man, Devil Dinosaur, Rogue, The Thing and Captain America: all between 51% and 53%, so pick them if you already play them well.
C tier: meta staples that don’t win more
- Magneto (50.3%): lost 50 health and 50 shield value, and is still in 38% of games.
- Cloak & Dagger (49.0%): nerfed, and still picked in about half of all ranked games, more than any other hero.
- Jubilee (50.2%): Season 9’s Strategist is in 34% of games but only wins about half of them.
- Gambit (49.6%) and Star-Lord (50.0%): both are better at high ranks, around 51.6% and 51.9% at Celestial+.
- Wolverine (50.0%): his base claw damage went up from 15 to 18, and he’s still only average.
Which Marvel Rivals heroes should you skip in Season 10?
Phoenix (44.0%), Squirrel Girl (44.7%) and Cyclops (45.9%) have the lowest win rates in ranked. Jeff the Land Shark (46.3%), Namor (46.7%) and all three Deadpool roles are also under 49%, even though every one of them got buffed this season.
Emma Frost (48.7%) and Luna Snow (47.2%) are in D tier too, despite buffs. If you main any of these, you can still climb, but you’re giving up a few percent in every game.

At Celestial and above, the top five are Mantis (56.6%), Magik (54.2%), Loki (52.7%), Daredevil (52.4%) and The Hood (52.0%). Peni Parker, Storm, Ultron and Gorr, all S tier at all ranks, fall to about 50% once everyone knows how to play against them.
If you’re Diamond or below, trust the main list. If you’re Grandmaster or higher, lean on Mantis, Magik, Loki and Daredevil.

Season 10.5 starts October 9, 2026. NetEase’s Season 10 dev diary says it won’t add a new hero. Instead it focuses on the next phases of the Path to Doomsday event, and the developers say Season 11 goes back to two new heroes. Season 9.5 came with its own balance patch, so expect another round of changes on October 9. We’ll update this list when it lands.
Until then, the newest addition is the God Quarry, a Domination map added on September 24.
