What’s in EB-05?

Bandai’s official breakdown for the 75 cards plus 2 DON!!:

  • 7 Leaders
  • 29 Commons
  • 21 Rares
  • 9 Super Rares
  • 1 Secret Rare
  • 8 Special cards
  • 2 DON!! cards

The featured Leader is Nico Robin, reported as a Green and Yellow Leader with 4 life and 5000 power. Other heroines in the set include Nami, Shirahoshi, Boa Hancock, Rebecca, Nefeltari Vivi, Jewelry Bonney, Perona, Vinsmoke Reiju, Miss Buckingham Stussy and Yamato.

What are the EB-05 chase cards?

Bandai hasn’t published the full card list yet, so most of this comes from retailer listings and reveal images. Here’s what’s confirmed and what’s only reported:

  • Nami (EB05-055): confirmed. Bandai revealed this card itself, with art by Kentaro Yabuki.
  • Shirahoshi manga-style parallel (EB05-014): reported. This is shaping up as the set’s top pull, with manga-panel art like the manga rares in main sets.
  • 8 Heroines SP cards: reported. Nami (OP01-016), Nico Robin (EB05-016), Miss Buckingham Stussy (EB05-006), Perona (OP14-033), Boa Hancock (ST17-004), Vinsmoke Reiju (EB05-031), Gerd (OP17-081) and Charlotte Pudding (OP17-109). These line up with Bandai’s count of 8 Special cards.
  • Alternate-art Leader reprints: reported. Nefeltari Vivi (EB03-001), Shirahoshi (OP11-022), Nami (OP11-041), Jewelry Bonney (OP13-100), Boa Hancock (OP14-041) and Rebecca (OP15-039).

Ignore early single-card prices. Some EB-05 singles are listed on TCGplayer at placeholder prices like $1,999.99 with no sales. Real prices will show up after October 30. We’ll add the most expensive EB-05 cards then, ranked by each card’s priciest version.

How much is an EB-05 booster box?

ProductList priceTCGplayer now (Oct 17)
Booster Box (24 packs)about $120 (24 × $4.99)about $354 (from $345.85)
Booster Pack$4.99about $20
Booster Box Case—about $3,673

For comparison, the first Heroines Edition (EB-03) box still sells for about $315 on TCGplayer, so these themed sets have held their value. That’s why preorders are this high.

Should you preorder EB-05?

  • If your local store is taking preorders near list price, yes. That’s the best deal you’ll get, and Extra Boosters are often allocated in small quantities.
  • At about $354 a box online, think twice. You’d pay almost $15 a pack. If you want to open packs, buying a few at release costs far less.
  • Don’t pay $20 for a single pack. That’s four times list price for 12 cards.
  • Chasing one card? Wait for singles. Prices for SP cards usually settle a few weeks after release, once boxes are opened.
