What does Mega Lucario Z ex do?

The set is named after Mega Lucario Z ex’s Ability, and it’s the card most players will build around. Mega Lucario Z first appeared in the Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension DLC, and Aura Seeker brings it to the card game.

  • Type and HP: Metal, 330 HP. It’s a Stage 1 that evolves straight from Riolu.
  • Ability, Aura Seeker: once during your turn, if it’s in the Active Spot, you search your deck for a Supporter card and put it into your hand.
  • Dancing Fist (2 Metal Energy): 120 damage, plus 120 more if your opponent’s Active Pokémon is a Pokémon ex.
  • The catch: like every Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, it gives up 3 Prize cards when it’s Knocked Out.

A free Supporter every turn is a strong engine, and 240 damage against Pokémon ex for two Energy is a lot. The Ability only works while Lucario is in the Active Spot, though, so it has to survive up front to keep the engine running.

Mega Garchomp Z ex

A Stage 2 Dragon Pokémon that evolves from Gabite, with 360 HP, the most of the three. Drago Avenger does 30 damage for each Dragon Pokémon in your discard pile, and Sonic Edge does a flat 240 that ignores any effects on your opponent’s Active Pokémon.

Mega Absol Z ex

The surprise of the three: Mega Absol Z ex is a Basic Pokémon, so you can put it straight into play. It’s a Psychic type with 270 HP, and its Bloody Fear attack does 160 damage and stops your opponent from attaching Special Energy from their hand or playing a Stadium during their next turn.

  • Sigilyph ex (Psychic, 210 HP): its Mega Protector Ability blocks all damage from attacks by your opponent’s Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, which makes it a direct answer to the set’s own headliners.
  • Korrina’s Supporter (コルニの本気): for that turn, your Mega Evolution Pokémon ex do 20 more damage to the opponent’s Active Pokémon for each Prize card your opponent has already taken. Korrina is the Shalour City Gym Leader from Pokémon X and Y, best known for her Mega Lucario.
  • Meloetta (Psychic, 90 HP): Welcome Song costs one Energy and puts up to three Basic Pokémon from your deck onto your Bench.
  • Revavroom (Metal, 140 HP): Long Drive discards all its Energy to hit the Active Pokémon for 100 and one Benched Pokémon for another 100.
  • Drampa (Dragon, 130 HP): its first attack attaches a basic Energy from your deck to one of your Dragon Pokémon, a natural partner for Mega Garchomp Z ex.
  • Vibrava (Dragon, 90 HP): its Ability lets you discard it from your hand to look at the top card of your deck, which also adds a Dragon to your discard pile for Drago Avenger.

When does Aura Seeker come out in English?

There’s no official date yet. Japanese sets usually reach English a few months later, and fan sites report the English version as a set called Flowing Fists in early 2027, but The Pokémon Company hasn’t confirmed that. We’ll update this page when it’s announced.

If you want Mega Lucario Z ex first, Japanese packs are the only way for now. Import sellers usually charge well above the ¥200 shelf price, especially around launch.
