Marvel is officially swinging onto MTG Arena. Wizards of the Coast confirmed that Magic: The Gathering | Marvel’s Spider-Man arrives on Arena on June 16, 2026, followed a week later by the full Marvel Super Heroes set on June 23, 2026 — bringing two of the most popular Universes Beyond crossovers to digital play for the first time, complete with Jumpstart Boosters, Source Material cards, and face commanders from all four Commander decks.

If you’ve been collecting the paper versions since Marvel’s Spider-Man released back in September 2025, here’s everything you need to know before the digital launch.

Free Cards for Existing Collectors

One of the biggest surprises in the announcement: every card in Marvel’s Spider-Man has an equivalent card that players may already have collected in Through the Omenpaths. For every Through the Omenpaths card already in your Arena collection, you’ll automatically receive its Spider-Man equivalent — for example, one copy of Leyline Weaver converts into one copy of Spider Manifestation. Players who picked up Through the Omenpaths boosters earlier this year are effectively getting a head start on the Spider-Man set for free.

Key Cards to Know

Marvel’s Spider-Man and the broader Marvel Super Heroes set are packed with character-defining legendary creatures. Here are five of the most important cards landing on Arena.

Norman Osborn // Green Goblin

Eddie Brock // Venom, Lethal Protector

Mary Jane Watson

Norman Osborn // Green Goblin is a transforming villain card that captures Spider-Man’s most personal rivalry — Osborn’s mild-mannered front gives way to the Goblin’s aggressive, sacrifice-fueled attacks once he transforms, making him a strong build-around for sacrifice and aristocrats strategies.

Spider-Man, Miles Morales brings the second Spider-Man to Magic with his own venom-strike abilities, while Eddie Brock // Venom, Lethal Protector gives black decks a transforming bomb that rewards life loss and aggressive attacking — easily one of the most popular cards from the original Spider-Man release.

Mary Jane Watson rounds out the supporting cast with a value-oriented role player, and Agent Venom (Flash Thompson) gives green-black decks a symbiote-themed threat that’s been a fixture of budget Commander decks since the set launched.

What This Means for Commander Players

The Arena release also brings face commanders from all four Marvel Super Heroes Commander decks into the digital ecosystem, alongside Jumpstart Boosters and Source Material cards featuring classic comic artwork. While Commander itself isn’t a supported Arena format, having these cards available for drafting and crafting means digital-only players will finally get hands-on with cards that paper Commander players have been building around since last year — including fan-favorite reprints like Lord of Atlantis, which is making its way into the Arena card pool as part of this release.

Preorders for Marvel Super Heroes on Arena open June 2, 2026, giving players a couple of weeks to stock up on gems and gold before the Spider-Man set goes live on June 16 and the full Marvel Super Heroes set follows on June 23.

Final Verdict

This is the biggest Marvel moment Arena has had since Universes Beyond crossovers became a regular thing, and the free Through the Omenpaths conversion is a genuinely generous touch for players who’ve stuck around since spring. Whether you’re an MTG player curious about Spider-Man’s first digital appearance or a Marvel fan who’s never touched Magic, June 16 and June 23 are the dates to circle — this is the easiest on-ramp yet into one of the best-selling Universes Beyond sets ever made.
