Riftbound Radiance Chase Cards: The Most Expensive Cards and Pull Odds

Short answer: The biggest chase card in Riftbound Radiance is Packed Amphitheater (Ultimate), a battlefield that shows up in about 1 of every 4,000 booster packs, according to Riot. Only two copies are listed on TCGplayer, the cheaper at $4,494.99. Next come the 16 Overnumbered cards, led by Riven, The Exile (one sale at $500) and Seraphine, Starry-Eyed Songstress (listed from $799.99). Radiance releases October 23, so most of these numbers are early asking prices, not sales. If you want one specific card, wait for release week and buy the single.

Each card is ranked by its most expensive version in the set. For contrast, the regular versions of Riven and Seraphine are about $7 and $8, and the regular Packed Amphitheater is an uncommon listed from $0.40.

How rare is the Packed Amphitheater Ultimate Rare?

Riot says the Ultimate Rare appears in about 0.025% of Radiance booster packs, or roughly 1 in 4,000. That makes it the rarest card in any main Riftbound set so far, four times rarer than Unleashed’s Baron Nashor at about 0.1%.

A Booster Display has 24 packs, so you’d expect to open about 167 displays to find one. At today’s $138.99 display price, that’s around $23,000 of sealed product, roughly five times the cheapest listing for the card itself.

For a sense of where it could settle: Baron Nashor (Ultimate) still sells for about $1,828 on TCGplayer, five months after Unleashed came out.

What are the Overnumbered cards in Radiance?

Radiance has 16 Overnumbered cards, numbered 168 to 183 out of 167. Six are Heartsteel cards designed like K-pop photo cards, and Ekko, Revolutionary wears his True Damage look. Every Overnumbered card also comes in a rarer Signature version. Only the Ultimate is harder to pull, and on the Heartsteel Signatures the autographs are from the characters, not the artists.

No Radiance Signature cards were listed on TCGplayer as of October 19, so they aren’t in the ranking yet. Expect them to top it once they appear: in Spiritforged, the Signature version of Aphelios, Exalted sells for about $568, while its regular Overnumbered version is about $78.

What’s the best pull most people will actually get?

An Alt Art card. Each Radiance pack has one slot that can be a rare, epic, Alt Art, Special Art, Overnumbered or Ultimate Rare card, and Alt Arts are the most common of the showcase versions. The best ones still cover a few packs: Seraphine, Not Alone (Alternate Art) is about $44 and Riven, Broken Blade (Alternate Art) is about $31.

Among regular cards, the most valuable so far are epics: Blade of the Exile (about $39), Neeko, Blending In (about $39) and Angler Wyrm (about $38).

Should you buy Radiance packs or singles?

  • Buy a Booster Display if you want to play and open packs. It’s $138.99 to $143 for 24 packs on TCGplayer, or about $5.80 to $6 a pack.
  • Buy the single if you want one card. Most Overnumbered prices come from two to eight sellers, and asks that thin tend to move a lot once stores open their cases on October 23.
  • New to Riftbound? The Evelynn vs Seraphine Showdown Decks are listed from $26.30, under their $34.99 MSRP. Our best starter deck guide compares every option.

What to skip

  • Paying $900+ for Riven before release. The only sale so far was $500.
  • Buying off a single listing. With one to three copies listed, the price is whatever one seller asks.
  • Showdown Decks above $34.99. They’re already cheaper than MSRP.
  • Leaving a big pull loose. Penny sleeve and toploader it right away. Here’s how to protect trading cards.
