Bandai hasn’t announced a single prerelease date, since prereleases are run by local game stores, so check with your store. OP-18 follows OP-17 “The World’s Strongest Warriors”, which released August 28.
What are the Yoshitaka Amano cards in OP-18?

Two Secret Rares: Loki and Saint Shamrock, both drawn by Yoshitaka Amano. Each also comes in a Parallel and a gold-foil Parallel version, so there are six Amano cards to chase in total.
Amano is the artist behind Final Fantasy’s original look, and his style is unmistakable: flowing lines, washed color, and figures that look half-painted, half-dreamed. It’s not a Final Fantasy crossover, though. These are One Piece characters, Loki of Elbaph and Saint Figarland Shamrock of the Holy Knights, in Amano’s style.
We have one good precedent for what Amano cards are worth. When he drew a Japanese alternate-art Liliana, Dreadhorde General for Magic’s War of the Spark in 2019, it became one of that set’s signature cards. Today the non-foil sells for about $114 and the foil for about $1,000 (Scryfall, TCGplayer market). That’s a different game and a different era, so it’s not a price prediction, but it shows collectors pay up for Amano on cardboard.
What else is in OP-18?
Franky’s first Leader, Robin’s first Manga Rare, and a Holy Knight with a mystery color. Here’s what was revealed at ONE PIECE DAY ’26 in August:
- Franky Leader (OP18-021): Green/Purple, built around Water 7, the Franky Family and Stage cards. It’s the Straw Hats’ shipwright’s first Leader.
- Nico Robin Manga Rare (OP18-031): Robin in her Enies Lobby outfit, her first Manga Rare.
- Saint Gunko: one of the Holy Knights making their card game debut, with a mysterious “?” color attribute.
- Saint Shamrock: also debuting in OP-18, alongside his Amano Secret Rare.

Should you preorder OP-18?

Not at $389 if you plan to open it. Here’s what happened with the last set. OP-17’s booster box traded between about $345 and $405 in the eight weeks before release, dipped to $339 in release week, and sits at $304 today. That’s 16–25% below where preorders were.
One Piece is different from Pokémon in one way, though: sealed boxes can climb long-term once a set stops being printed. OP-09 “Emperors in the New World”, released in December 2024, traded around $216 last October and sells for about $658 today.
- Opening packs? Wait. OP-17 was cheaper a month after release than at any point in preorders.
- Holding sealed long-term? A box at or near MSRP from your local game store’s allocation is the play. Paying $389 today eats years of possible upside.
- Chasing the Amano cards specifically? Buy the single. With six Amano versions in a 127+1-card set, cracking packs for one is expensive.

- Cases at $4,499. They carry the same 3x-plus markup as single boxes.
