Finished Avatar: Seven Havens Book 1 and not ready to leave the Avatar world? Start with The Legend of Korra on Paramount+. Seven Havens is set 225 years after it, and Korra explains the open spirit portals and the Vaatu theories fans traded all season. After that, Netflix’s live-action Season 2, the Kyoshi novels and the new Kyoshi Warriors comic (out November 10) will carry you a long way. To play, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game costs $29.99, and Magic’s Avatar Beginner Box sells for about $26. Book 2 is fully written and in production, but Paramount+ hasn’t given it a date yet.

When does Seven Havens Book 2 come out?

There’s no date yet. After the finale, co-creator Michael Dante DiMartino told GamesRadar+ that Book 2 is fully written and in production. Paramount+ had already renewed the show for Books 3 and 4 at New York Comic Con on October 9, so Pavi and Nisha’s story is planned to run four books. For where the finale leaves the twins, see our Seven Havens Book 1 ending explained.

The same panel announced a brand-new show, Avatar Kuruk: Wave of Chaos. It follows Kuruk, the Water Tribe Avatar who came right before Kyoshi, starting at age 14. Bryan Konietzko is running it. There’s no voice cast or release date yet.

What to watch after Seven Havens

1. The Legend of Korra (Paramount+)

This is the closest match. Korra is the Avatar right before Pavi, and the world of Seven Havens grows out of Korra’s choice to leave the spirit portals open. The show runs 52 episodes over four books (2012 to 2014).

Only have one night? Watch Beginnings, Parts 1 and 2 (Book 2, episodes 7 and 8). They tell the story of Avatar Wan, the very first Avatar, and Vaatu, the spirit of chaos many fans guessed was behind the anomaly. The finale ruled Vaatu out, but these two episodes are still the heart of Avatar’s mythology.

Korra left Netflix in April 2025, so Paramount+ is the only place to stream it.

2. Avatar: The Last Airbender (Paramount+ and Netflix)

The original: 61 episodes over three books (2005 to 2008). If Seven Havens was your first Avatar show, this is where the Avatar cycle, the four nations and bending itself all come from. It streams on Paramount+, and Netflix has it too. Netflix Junkie reports that Netflix’s deal for the show runs to April 2027.

3. Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender, the movie (Paramount+, Blu-ray Nov 3)

The 99-minute movie jumps 13 years past the war to a grown-up Aang, Katara, Sokka and Toph. Critics liked it: 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s been streaming on Paramount+ since July 25, and the Blu-ray and DVD come out Tuesday, November 3. Our Avatar Aang movie review roundup has the scores and cast.

4. Netflix’s live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender, Season 2 (Netflix)

Season 2 came out June 25 with seven episodes. It adapts the Earth Kingdom story from the cartoon’s second book, brings in Toph and heads to Ba Sing Se. Critics are mostly positive at 71% on Rotten Tomatoes (24 reviews), while the audience score sits at 51%. Season 3 has finished filming and is expected in 2027.

What to read after Seven Havens

The Chronicles of the Avatar novels

There are six novels so far, two for each of three past Avatars:

  • Kyoshi: The Rise of Kyoshi and The Shadow of Kyoshi, by F.C. Yee
  • Yangchen: The Dawn of Yangchen and The Legacy of Yangchen, by F.C. Yee
  • Roku: The Reckoning of Roku and The Awakening of Roku, by Randy Ribay (the second came out December 30, 2025)

Start with Kyoshi. Her books are about an Avatar nobody expected and plenty of people don’t want, which is close to Pavi’s problem in Seven Havens. They’re also the best Kuruk primer before his new show. Kyoshi came right after him, and the mess he left behind shapes her whole story.

New Avatar comics from Dark Horse

  • The Kyoshi Warriors, Volume 1 (out Tuesday, November 10, $13.99, 80 pages). Suki and her warriors leave Kyoshi Island to join the war against the Fire Nation, and the Earth Kingdom doesn’t trust them. Brandon Hoàng writes, BellBessa draws, and it collects all three issues of the miniseries.
  • Jet: Rebels and Rhinos (out since September). An 80-page origin story for Jet and his Freedom Fighters.
  • Avatar Legends: Masters of the Elements (out since this summer). An anthology with stories from several past Avatars, a good fit if Seven Havens got you curious about the whole Avatar cycle.
  • Coming next: Enter the Blue Spirit, Faith Erin Hicks’s origin story for Zuko’s masked alter ego, is due February 23, 2027.

What to play after Seven Havens

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game ($29.99)

The cheapest way to keep bending. It’s out on PS5, Switch and PC (since July 23) and Xbox (since September 3). Critics rate it well: 80 on PC and 77 on PS5 at Metacritic, and 8 out of 10 from IGN. You get 12 fighters from Aang’s, Korra’s and Kyoshi’s eras, and the Year 1 Pass adds Iroh first, then Ty Lee, Lin Beifong and Bolin. The main complaint is a thin story mode. Our Avatar Legends fighting game guide has the full roster and DLC.

If you were waiting for the big Avatar RPG Saber Interactive announced in 2024, Paramount confirmed in June that it’s no longer in production. Paramount said a big Avatar game could still come later in a different form.

  • a 32-page rules booklet and two adventures, The Pirates of Crimson Sails (Aang’s era) and The Burning Fuse (Korra’s era)

Avatar after Seven Havens: FAQ

Do I need to watch Korra before Seven Havens Book 2?

No, Seven Havens works on its own. But Korra explains why the spirit portals are open and who Vaatu is, and the finale leans on both.

Is there a new Avatar video game coming?

The fighting game is still getting new fighters through its Year 1 Pass, starting with Iroh. The big Saber Interactive RPG was shelved, and no other new Avatar game has been announced as of November 1, 2026.

When does Avatar Kuruk: Wave of Chaos come out?

There’s no date. Paramount+ ordered it on October 9, 2026, and it was still listed as in development a few days later.

Where can I watch all of Avatar in one place?

Paramount+. It has The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, the Avatar Aang movie and Seven Havens. Netflix has The Last Airbender and its own live-action series.
