Watch One Piece in episode order. The anime’s 1,180 episodes already run in story order, from the East Blue saga (episodes 1-61) to the Elbaph arc (1156-1180). Skip the 94 filler episodes to save about 38 hours. The 15 movies are optional side stories; the table below shows where each one fits. As of November 6, 2026, the anime is on a planned break after episode 1180 and returns in 2027. Crunchyroll streams every episode in the US.

Where is the One Piece anime now? (November 2026)

The latest episode is episode 1180, “Elbaph in Despair – Diabolical Covenant, ‘Domi Reversi’,” which aired on September 27, 2026. It closed the Elbaph arc’s 2026 run on a cliffhanger.

The official One Piece anime account says new episodes return in 2027. No date has been announced.

Why the breaks? Starting in April 2026, Toei Animation makes about 26 new One Piece episodes a year, aired in two parts with breaks in between. Producer Ryuta Koike announced the change in late 2025 so the anime can follow the manga’s pace more closely. Before that, the show aired almost every week, apart from a pause from October 2024 to April 2025.

English dub: Crunchyroll’s dub is caught up through Egghead (episode 1155), and it has added one Elbaph episode each Tuesday since October 20, 2026. Netflix spells the arc “Elbaf”; our Elbaf arc explainer covers the Netflix side.

One Piece filler list: which episodes can you skip?

Anime Filler List counts 94 pure filler episodes, about 8% of the show. All 25 Elbaph episodes are manga story, so that total still stands at episode 1180.

Keep the “mixed” episodes that blend manga story with new scenes, such as 45-47 and 61. They aren’t on this list because they still adapt parts of the manga.

RouteEpisodesAbout
Every TV episode1,180472 hours
Skip the 94 filler episodes1,086434 hours

Hours assume about 24 minutes an episode, opening and ending included. At three episodes a day, the skip-filler route takes just under a year.

One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga is Toei’s own remastered cut of episodes 517-574: 21 episodes instead of 58. It aired from November 3, 2024 to March 30, 2025, and Crunchyroll carries it. If the slow pacing of that stretch worries you, watch the Log version and pick up the main series again at episode 575.

One Piece movies in order (and where they fit)

You don’t need any of the movies. Eiichiro Oda has said they sit apart from the manga’s story, even Strong World, which he wrote. If you want them, here is where each one fits best by crew and timeline.

Crunchyroll is the only US service with the whole series, and it posts new episodes the same day they air in Japan. Availability is from JustWatch’s US listings, checked November 6, 2026.

Netflix’s One Piece library differs by country. In some regions it streamed the 2026 Elbaph episodes about six days after Japan, but the US listings show only the early sagas, so check the app before you plan a binge there.

What about the live-action show and THE ONE PIECE remake?

Both are separate retellings on Netflix. Neither changes the anime’s watch order, so watch them whenever you like.

  • Netflix’s live-action One Piece: Season 1 (August 31, 2023) covers the East Blue. Season 2, Into the Grand Line (March 10, 2026), runs from Loguetown to Drum Island. Season 3, The Battle of Alabasta, is due in 2027. See our One Piece live-action Season 2 guide.
  • THE ONE PIECE: WIT Studio’s anime remake starts the story over. Its first 7 episodes arrive on Netflix in February 2027 and run from Luffy’s first adventure to the Baratie, which the original anime reaches at episode 19. Details are in our THE ONE PIECE remake guide.

One Piece watch order FAQ

How many episodes of One Piece are there?

1,180 TV episodes as of November 6, 2026, plus 15 movies and 15 TV specials. Episode 1181 arrives in 2027.

Do you need to watch the One Piece movies?

No. They’re side stories. If you watch one, Film Red ties in most with the main story, since Uta also appears in the manga.

Can you skip the early episodes?

You can, but the East Blue is only 61 episodes and sets up the crew and many later payoffs. If the older animation is the problem, THE ONE PIECE remake retells the start in 7 episodes from February 2027.
