What’s in the Marvel Zombies Secret Lair?

All six cards in Secret Lair x Marvel: Zombies. Card images: Wizards of the Coast / Marvel.
Six cards, each a Marvel hero turned undead. Four are existing Magic cards renamed as Marvel heroes, while Unstoppable Slasher and Zombie Apocalypse keep their own names.
| Marvel zombie | Magic card |
|---|---|
| Wolverine | Unstoppable Slasher |
| Captain America | Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver |
| Scarlet Witch | Varina, Lich Queen |
| Thor | God-Eternal Bontu |
| Giant-Man | Vogar, Necropolis Tyrant |
| A zombie Avengers horde | Zombie Apocalypse |
The art comes from three Marvel artists: Leinil Francis Yu and Jay David Ramos (Wolverine and Zombie Apocalypse), Michael Walsh (Giant-Man and Thor), and Greg Smallwood (Captain America and Scarlet Witch).
What do the Marvel Zombies cards do?
Two Zombie commanders, three big Zombie creatures and a board-wide comeback spell. Here’s every card in the drop.
Zombie Captain America (Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver)

Zombie Captain America (Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver), art by Greg Smallwood. Card: Wizards of the Coast / Marvel.
A blue-black Zombie commander. Whenever another Zombie you control dies, if it didn’t have decayed, you create a 2/2 Zombie token with decayed. At your end step, you can sacrifice a Zombie to draw a card. The flavor text: “Land of the free, home of the brains.”
Zombie Scarlet Witch (Varina, Lich Queen)

Zombie Scarlet Witch (Varina, Lich Queen), art by Greg Smallwood. Card: Wizards of the Coast / Marvel.
A three-color Zombie commander (white, blue and black). Whenever you attack with one or more Zombies, you draw that many cards, discard that many, and gain that much life. You can also pay 2 and exile two cards from your graveyard to make a tapped 2/2 Zombie.
Unstoppable Slasher (zombie Wolverine)

Unstoppable Slasher (zombie Wolverine), art by Leinil Francis Yu and Jay David Ramos. Card: Wizards of the Coast / Marvel.
A 2/3 deathtouch Zombie for three mana. When it deals combat damage to a player, they lose half their life, rounded up. When it dies with no counters on it, it comes back tapped with two stun counters, a fitting card for Wolverine’s healing factor.
Zombie Thor (God-Eternal Bontu)

Zombie Thor (God-Eternal Bontu), art by Michael Walsh. Card: Wizards of the Coast / Marvel.
A 5/6 with menace. When it enters, you can sacrifice any number of other permanents and draw that many cards. When it dies or is exiled, you can put it into your library third from the top.
Zombie Giant-Man (Vogar, Necropolis Tyrant)

Zombie Giant-Man (Vogar, Necropolis Tyrant), art by Michael Walsh. Card: Wizards of the Coast / Marvel.
A 4/4 with menace that keeps growing. Whenever another creature dies during your turn, it gets a +1/+1 counter, and when it dies, you draw a card for each counter on it. Its flavor text: “His size is dwarfed only by his appetite.”
Zombie Apocalypse

Zombie Apocalypse, art by Leinil Francis Yu and Jay David Ramos. Card: Wizards of the Coast / Marvel.
A six-mana sorcery that brings every Zombie in your graveyard back to the battlefield tapped, then destroys all Humans. The art shows a horde of zombified Avengers.
Is the Marvel Zombies Secret Lair worth it?

Drop price vs. the same six cards’ cheapest printings (Scryfall) and recent Marvel Secret Lair resale prices (TCGplayer), October 1, 2026.
The foil is the better deal. The cheapest copies of these six cards add up to about $31 (Vogar’s only other printing is a $12.79 foil), and their cheapest foils to about $48, according to Scryfall on October 1. So the $29.99 non-foil is roughly break-even with buying the cards, and the $39.99 foil saves you about $8.
Marvel Secret Lairs have also held up well. The Marvel drops from the A Perfectly Normal Superdrop, which went on sale August 31 for the same $29.99/$39.99, now sell for more than retail on TCGplayer: the Hulk SMASH! foil at about $56, the Earth’s Mightiest Pets foil at about $57, and the Dan Hipp foil at about $45. That’s no guarantee for this drop, but it’s a good sign for a Marvel crossover.
If you’re only buying one licensed drop from this sale, the KPop Demon Hunters Secret Lair is the better value: its seven cards cost about $33 at their cheapest and about $96 in foil, mostly thanks to Swan Song.
Which Marvel Zombies card is the best?
For Commander, Unstoppable Slasher and Zombie Captain America. Unstoppable Slasher is the most-played card in the drop, ranked #1,555 on EDHREC, and Wilhelt (#2,755) is a popular Zombie commander. The hardest card to find is Vogar, the Giant-Man card: its only other printing is a $12.79 foil from Game Night: Free-for-All.
If you’re building a Zombie deck around Captain America or Scarlet Witch, this drop gives you both commanders plus Zombie Apocalypse as a finisher.
Where else can you buy the Marvel Zombies Secret Lair?
Only on MagicSecretLair.com during the sale. After that, sealed copies and singles show up on TCGplayer and eBay from resellers, often at a markup.
If the drop sends you back to the comics, the Marvel Zombies Omnibus collects Robert Kirkman’s run for $31.09, and the original Marvel Zombies collection is $14.99.
